Anonymous donors make $240,000 gift to local food pantries
It was a phone call that Second Blessings Food Pantry President Becki Gillihan never expected to receive.
“We got a phone call from Operation Food Search. She asked me if I was sitting down, which I was, and then she told me that there was an anonymous donation that had been made,” Gillihan said.
A Franklin County couple had made a $240,000 donation to Operation Food Search, a nonprofit hunger-relief organization, with the request that it be split evenly among the organization’s partner agencies in Franklin County. Read more…
