Operation Food Search, a hunger relief organization that helps the needy, is in its new headquarters in Overland.
The organization is based at 1644 Lotsie Boulevard after moving from 6282 Olive Boulevard in University City. At 67,000 square feet, the new HQ is more than twice as large as the previous facility.
Formerly a window factory, the Overland building cost Operation Food Search $2.27 million to buy. Its renovation cost $2.5 million. The new facility has advanced inventory management, increased product racking capabilities, additional truck bays and expanded refrigeration for perishable items.
