Operation Food Search has named Carlton Adams as its first chief operating officer, effective earlier this month. The nonprofit organization added the role of COO after a recent restructuring of the leadership team, officials said.
Adams will handle the overall strategic and operational responsibilities of the nonprofit’s established programs.
He comes to Operation Food Search with 25 years of experience in strategic planning, business development, customer operations and financial management. Prior to joining Operation Food Search, Adams was acting executive director of the National Conference for Community & Justice of Metropolitan St. Louis, in addition to serving as its board president.
Prior to that, Adams worked as vice president of pharma revenue and invoicing at Express Scripts, and he held the role of vice president of global category management at Mastercard and senior vice president of global supply chain management at Peabody Energy.
