I am writing in response to Joe Roeder’s letter “Food stamp money needs to be better focused” (Oct. 17). I work in the nutritional education department at Operation Food Search, a food bank serving the St. Louis region that helps to feed approximately 150,000 people every month, nearly half of them children.
