What is #GivingTuesday?
We have a day for giving thanks. We have two shopping days for getting deals. Now, we have #GivingTuesday, a day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, December 2, 2014, Operation Food Search and FEAST makes this global day LOCAL. We have a goal to raise $10,000 in one day to support our signature nutrition education program, Cooking Matters®.
Why Cooking Matters?
Feeding 190,000 people per month in the bi-state region is just a fraction of what we do at Operation Food Search. Cooking Matters® empowers families with skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to prepare delicious, healthy and affordable meals. This knowledge can mean the difference between feeding families just for one night, and making sure they never again have to worry about when their next meal will come.
