Empty Bowls 2015

Empty Bowls is a unique fundraising event revolving around local artist and student handcrafted art. One-of-a-kind bowls will be displayed and sold at Plaza Frontenac Centre Court from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Friday, November 20 and from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 21. The price of bowls ranges from $10 to $200.
All proceeds from the sale will go to Operation Food Search to help fill empty bowls and empty stomachs. Operation Food Search is the largest distributor of free food in the bi-state region, currently providing food to 190,000 people each month, nearly one-third of whom are children.
Our objectives are twofold: The first is to raise funds to feed the area hungry. The second objective is hunger awareness. The image of an empty bowl creates a powerful reminder of the needs of the hungry, especially as we prepare to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday.
