Thanks to Supporters Like You, Kids Have Food When School is Out

Our Afterschool ReFuel provides much-needed nutrition during the school year, as well as over holiday breaks when school meals are not available. The program is offered at multiple locations throughout the community, including St. Louis County Library and St. Louis Public Library branches. These nutritious Super Snacks, which include a fruit, vegetable, protein, dairy and whole grain, help kids and teens stay focused and active through the afternoon and into the evening.

  • Meals are available at no charge in a safe, fun environment, including during winter break.
  • The program aims to reduce health problems from undernutrition and help kids finish the day strong.
  • Kids can participate in a variety of activities following meal service, such as LEGOS, coloring and crafts.
  • Cooking demonstrations and recipe cards are provided to kids and families when possible.

More than 52,000 meals were served in the 2018-2019 program year, thanks to the support of generous donors like you!
